My first blog

Greetings, fellow bloggers! Can I even call myself that now, as this is my first blog? Too late, I suppose.

It's great to finally be here. It's the end of the day at work, and I needed to get this blog started. My friend, Matt (who knows way more about this 2.0 stuff than I ever will) is dragging me into the present time, kicking and screaming. Well, I've made it...kind of. I have my Facebook, my Twitter, and now, my blogger accounts established. I believe these were the only things on my "to do" list before my lunch meeting with Captain 2.0 a.k.a. Matt, next week.

Speed workout tonight at te UNCW track with the Wilmington Roadrunners. They are a great bunch, and we'll determine if all the running that I have been doing recently pays off, as I have a 10k in Fayetteville, NC on Saturday. Hopefully, it will be a relatively flat race, and not too crazy hot. Shouldn't be that bad, as the race starts at 7:30 a.m. Polly (my girlfriend) and I will be traveling there tomorrow after work. Where there's the schedule.

Hey, since this is my first attempt at "blogging," this is pretty mundane stuff. I hope to use this medium as an outlet for a few new ideas, and mostly comic relief, for those of us who still run 5k, 10k, half marathons, full marathons, and a handfull of trathlons during the year...all after your 40th birthday (47th birthday, in my case). Hopefully, we can have fun with our stories. Can we still pull this off without injuries, and pain in the ornings? Let's hope so. Have a great evening, and we'll talk again soon.

Running in Wilmington,

Chris
